My little wedding haul. Part 1!

As I mentioned in previous posting, I ordered a Papel Picado banner from eBay- impressed! I’m going to order a few more, currently I’m thinking that I’ll use them for behind the bridal table, along with two large urns of roses.
I didn’t feel the need for a big gauzy wad of fabric behind us.. Noosa Springs has so much natural beauty as a venue.

June 25, 2012

It’s been two months or so since our wedding, I’ve had some type of post-honeymoon depression, and haven’t felt like reliving any wedding moments. The hype and the ‘event’ took over so much, that once it was all over, I couldn’t believe how many other things I could put my mind and money to!
I’m over all that now.

Our wedding was held at Noosa Springs Spa & Golf Resort, at Noosa Heads, QLD. We chose Noosa Springs because it is an incredibly beautiful venue, which could also accommodate a large number of wedding guests over the long weekend our wedding was held. Plus their golf course is amazing. The boys loved it. And the Spa…..oh god. I will get to that… Here goes the Pre-Wedding fun:

Friday:

Our Bridal party has turned up - all 12 of them! That afternoon the boys head off for some golf. Whatever, that can’t be too exciting to write about.

Us girls head down to the Spa, minus my Mum and two sisters, who are running late much to my distress. I can’t handle lateness on a good day, let alone the day before my wedding for our special activity.

Noosa Springs Spa was perfection from the moment we walked in.. We were greeted with homemade lemonades. From there we were escourted to the change rooms, robed up, and made a bee-line for the Hydro-Massage pool. As winter was just beginning, this was awesome! A great treatment for a large group. Water jets were throughout the pool, designed to massage different areas of the body.

Opps. Come on, did you think I’d stay classy?

Mother and my sisters turned up shortly after, as they had missed about 15 minutes of our Hydro-Therapy session, the ladies in the Spa were kind enough to let them go back in after the treatment was finished, so they could get full use of the room. I nearly cried with relief, they finally made it, and thankfully didn’t miss too much.

We also used the Infra-Red Sauna and Blitz Shower, which became hilarious with 12 girls running backwards and forward between the two, squealing and carrying on.

From there, we were shown through to the Relaxation lounge, where a Champagne High Tea awaited us. The food was divine! Sweets, specialty chocolates, mini savories, champers, and plenty of goss to catch up on.

That evening we met up with the boys, and both sides of the family and friends for dinner at Noosa Springs restaurant, Relish. Husband and myself both had pork belly. I can’t remember the full menu now, but everyone enjoyed their meals, it was a lovely night with all our special people.

That night we went back to our rooms, 2 3 bedroom apartments which were on top of each other. Girls on top, boys below. I would like to say it was a peaceful night, and we all got our beauty sleep, but with friends like ours…not a chance! Lucky my Make Up Artist, Natalie Hunter was able to perform a miracle the next day!

The Wedding Post.

Our Wedding

05 - 05 - 2012

The Preparation.

The Ceremony.

Poor Husband was pretty nervous, he hates that it was showing, but everyone loved seeing him like that, it was the sweetest thing of the day.

Just fixing up the make-up thanks to some kissing smudges!

The location for these shots is Hastings Street, Noosa.

Here we are, back on location with the Bridal Party. Noosa Springs supplied us with golf buggies to drive around the course for photos. They also treated us ladies with champagne, beers for the boys, and huge chocolate coated strawberries for us all.

While we were out having photos taken, the guests were upstairs in the Sunset Lounge having cocktails and canapes. Since we love to party, we decided to all join them up there for a sneaky champagne before dinner.

My talented Mummy put together these ‘generation frames’, it is a collection of past generation’s weddings, from both sides of our family.

Our Bonbonerie was our ‘love mixtapes’. We made the CDs ourselves, with some stationary help from Etsy
Succulents, Roses, and Pinto Beans. Love!

Papel Picado, even more love!

We were announced in the Plantation Room before dinner, our lovely Bridal Party led the way. I can’t stop raving about our Bridal Party, I know everyone loves theirs (well, most people) but we could not have done it without each one of them. We have such a special friendship circle. I’ll always love them all!

I love this photo, it looks like trouble.
